Morning trail walk

A brief introduction to the QGs project and the history of soapstone mining, followed by a walk along the main trail around the quarries. Among the plant communities, look for Tall thimbleweed, Butterflyweed, Indian hemp, Threadleaf coreopsis, Flowering spurge, Naked-flowered tick trefoil, Shrubby St. John’s wort, Square-stemmed monkeyflower, Spotted bee balm, White water lily, and many others.

Bring a lunch and enjoy it in the picnic pavilion.
