Armand Thieblot, co-founder of the Quarry Gardens, will lead this walk. We will begin with an introduction to the QGs project and the history of Schuyler soapstone mining in the Visitor Center, then follow the trail around the quarries.
This week, we are sure to find Shooting stars and Dwarf crested iris. Along the way, we may also find Rue anemone, Pussytoes, Wild columbine, Green and gold, Dwarf larkspur, Wild geranium, Alumroot, Bluets, Golden ragwort, Native phlox, Mayapple, Solomon’s seal, Wild pink, Spring beauty, Foamflower, Mountain and Perfoliated bellworts, Heartleaf, Golden alexanders—and many others.
Consider bringing a lunch and enjoying it in the Picnic Pavilion.
